AL, ACCORDING TO RUTH:

Hello my name is Ruth Fox. I would like to tell you about my husband Al Fox.

In our 52 years we have shared many experiences which include 2 children and 4 grandchildren. 30 of those years was Al’s career in law enforcement. Al worked for the California Department of Justice which required him to work long hours that sometimes took him across the state of California. Therefore as an investigator he did not always make it home at the end of a day. Early in our marriage we cultivated a life partnership by doing as many things together as our schedule allowed. We work at developing a strong support system for our family and friends. Trustworthy and dependability are characteristics that Al has exhibited over his life to our friends, family and community.

When we moved to Citrus Heights 21 years ago we were excited that our new city was developing into its own supportive community. Al became involved with the goal of having our own police department to ensure a strong safety support system for all our residents.

As our community entered into the pandemic Al took on the characteristic of persistence. Al located 600 headsets for our church to distribute to the children of Citrus Heights. Due to supply chain issues Al pursued many companies to purchase the needed headsets. So you see that dependable to follow through to completion is an additional characteristic.

For the past several months Al and I worked together with our church to develop a “Community Room” in Mariposa Elementary School. This Community Room will provide a location for parents to have a free working WiFi and computer service. The room provides a comfortable location and atmosphere to help bridge the gap between parents and teachers to meet the needs of our children. It will officially open on October 21,2022.

I know that our involvement will continue in Citrus Heights. Please let Al Fox represent your voice on the Citrus Heights City Council District 4.
